Class: 6-12 months
The baby sessions are based around the concept of trial and error,
exploring sounds, textures, colours, and simple rhymes. Peek-a-boo with materials. Encouraging early pincer grasp movements for holding instruments and allowing the absorption of rhythmical sounds in early speech.
Class: 1-2 years
The toddler sessions are slightly more challenging. We begin to cover numbers, rhythms and color naming in our music time.
Parachute games, counting songs, action time, manoeuvering consciously around the space and developing dance.
Class: 2-3 years
The big tots sessions begin to fuse music making with the rhythm and beat. Listening for the pauses in music, playing quietly and loudly, and demonstrating independence with dance. Playing instruments together as a group and separately as an individual. Singing and learning simple lyrics to songs.
Class 4-5 years
The older sessions are more challenging yet equally fun. This is when we form patterns in songs, link body percussion and instrument percussion and truly learn what our voices can achieve.
We have drumming time and vocal warm-ups. Dancing to very simple choreography and creating our own free movement.
